Remember that Karin Fong spot for Sony’s “God of War?”  I mean, how could you not?!  After its debut over a week ago on the Big Game, we can still hear the music in our ears and feel the pain of Kratos in our hearts.  Well, apparently we’re not alone.  The video has been viewed over 2.5 million times and claims the #7 spot in the top 10 list of ads shared this week!  So let’s hear it for Karin and the whole team at Imaginary Forces….you rocked it guys!!

Karin Fong is a Spartan God!

You don’t have to be a gamer to be completely awestruck by Karin Fong’s live action trailer for Sony’s “God of War: Ascension.” The Imaginary Forces director creates a gripping tale of the game’s main character, Kratos, layered with such realism that it feels more like a feature film than a spot for a video game.  Fong wraps up the story line in just 2 minutes without missing a second of the sadness of Kratos’ plight.  Laced with Ellie Goulding’s hauntingly emotional song, “Hanging On,” this spot stays with you in a way you can’t have expected.  This is Sony’s biggest undertaking for the God of War series, and Karin Fong was certainly up to the task.  If you didn’t catch the spot streaming during the Super Bowl, watch below and be prepared to wage war!

They’re Watching….

Keep an eye out for IF director Miguel Lee’s new opening sequence for the CBS hit show, Person of Interest. Through sound effects and elaborate graphical tool kits, Miguel perfectly captures the web of surveillance that lies at the center of this show. Not to mention the just plain creepy idea that Michael Emerson (Ben from Lost) and his team of “Big Brothers” are watching us. Always.

Ever wonder where sim cards are born? Well, with a little imagination, you just might learn from IF director, Ronnie Koff’s O2 spot. To promote the UK’s lead wireless provider, Koff created a magical factory where sim cards are made. Viewers journey through a glass machine, watching as sim cards are carried by bubble claws and sent down transparent conveyor belts. It’s like entering a new world. For 30 seconds.
