We’d like to welcome directing duo (Sara) Marandi and (Brendan) Heath to Believe Media and The Family. This is an indirect homecoming for Sara as she started out at Imaginary Forces as an original member of their NY team. She is known as an incredible visual director with gorgeous art direction and style. Sara is still a New Yorker; living, working, and creating in her beloved West Village. Her talent is complimented by the handome Mr. Heath, who was an actor and producer before moving into directing. Brendan hails from South Africa and comes from a long line of actors and directors. He and Sara met on a job, Brendan was producing for Sara. They hit it off and collaborated often, and eventually became Marandi/Heath. Their work is beautiful and graphic, balanced with great performances. Check out a bit of their work here: Marandi/Heath Reel.
Some notes of interest…Brendan owns dog, a 208 lb Newfoundland named Jasper. His Connecticut townsfolk often mistake Jasper for a bear, and call the authorities. Once, when Brendan was winter surfing in Montauk, he met a dude out in the water who had recently lived in the same small Connecticut town. This gent asked Brendan,”Did you know there are a lot of bear in that town?” Sara believes in economy, which is why there is not an “h” at then end of her name, “Why add another letter?” says Sara, “It’s an added bonus for those texting and emailing me.” Sara also knows how to drive a stick shift. As soon as she was legal to drive, she bought a car and she learned to drive it in one day on the hilly streets of San Francisco. To this day she can take anyone off the line, on a hill, in the rain. She’s got mad skills.
